Frequently Asked Questions
1. What Should the Customer Know About Your Pricing (E.g., Discounts, Fees)?
I charge by the session, NOT the hour. Sessions last until the client feels better than when they first walked in.
2. What is Your Typical Process for Working With a New Customer?
I like to speak separately to all parties involved before our first session. Clients feel most comfortable if they're not walking in the cold.
3. What Education and Training Do You Have That Relate to Your Work?
In addition to my degree in Counseling Psychology and life coach certification, I am trained in the "Gottman Method." Dr. Gottman and his wife are the Marriage and Relationship counseling industry leaders.
4. How Did You Get Started Doing This Type of Work?
My mother was a therapist and told me I had a gift. I was much better than her at understanding people. After my mom passed away, I decided to fulfill this dream because I knew it would make her proud.
5. What Types of Customers Have You Worked With?
Marriage, Relationships, Families, Emerging Adults (Ages 18–30), and chronically ill patients.
6. Describe a Recent Project You Are Fond of. How Long Did It Take?
I had a couple who were not connecting. Most of their communications involved conflict. They learned to listen to each other after a few months. At their last session, they asked me to witness their wedding. Moments like this inspire me in my job. Whatever happiness looks like, I encourage my clients to find and deserve it. I also have a couple who had infidelity in their marriage. Since they started coming, they have been "ALL IN." They learned to accept their relationship would never be what it was before the infidelity. However, they told me, "After we left here, we talked for three hours like never. It felt perfect." It took about two months to reach this point.
7. What Advice Would You Give a Customer Looking to Hire a Provider in Your Work Area?
The best advice I can give is that the client should call the counselor and converse with them. It's essential to feel comfortable talking to them. If you feel relaxed, hire them.
8. What Questions Should Customers Think Through Before Talking to Professionals About Their Project?

Marriage Counseling
Using the Gottman Method, you can create the marriage that both of you want. We focus on connection, managing conflict, and loving each other in the ways they want. Since we charge by the session AND NOT the hour, we can get to the heart of the matter much quicker. Sessions typically run for two to three hours. We also include time between sessions for the client to call us between sessions. We understand this is your life, and we make you a priority. "Talk to you next week" just doesn't work. We are invested as much as you are in getting to where you want to be.
